このドメーヌの名を高めた当主、ジェラール・ポテル氏は非常に優れた醸造家として尊敬され、ドメーヌ・デュジャックのジャック・セイス氏も、ブルゴーニュでワイン造りを学ぶ際に最初に薫陶を受けたのが、こちらのジェラール氏だったと言います。
ラ・プス・ドールの畑はプルミエ・クリュのみですが、ドメーヌが認めるレベルに達していないと判断されたワインは、一級畑ものでもクラスを格下げしてリリースをしています。
その醗酵したブドウの絞り滓を蒸留したものが「マール」となります。 "
