1929年（昭和4年）に大衆雑誌「キング」に附録されたキングカードです。
2号（2か月）に渡り各12枚ずつ発行され、1シート4枚構成の未裁断カードが計24枚のセットとなります。
（全96種中、ベーブ・ルースは1種）

当時カードが封入されていた「キングカード」オリジナル紙袋2枚も付属します。

約97年前に発行されたこの「キングカード」は、ポストカードやメンコではなく、正式なカードとして製作されたものです。
日本の野球カードとしては初期に属する大変貴重な資料といえます。

一部のカードに薄シミや少シワなど経年変化が見られます。
ベーブ・ルースのカードは比較的良好なコンディションです。

This is a rare set of "King Cards" issued in 1929 (Showa 4) as a supplement to the popular Japanese magazine "King."

The cards were distributed over two issues (two consecutive months), with 12 sheets per issue. Each sheet contains 4 uncut cards, making a total of 24 sheets in this lot.

The complete series consists of 96 different designs, and this set includes one Babe Ruth card.

Also included are the two original paper envelopes marked "King Card," which originally contained the cards when they were distributed. Although the envelopes have tears and age-related wear, they are authentic original accessories from the period and add to the historical appeal of the set.

The Babe Ruth card features Japanese text such as "World's Greatest Home Run King" on the front, while the reverse mentions his historic 60 home runs in 1927, describing how the achievement "shocked the world."

Produced approximately 97 years ago, these "King Cards" are not postcards or traditional menko, but were issued as proper printed cards. They represent one of the earliest examples of Japanese baseball card history.

Condition:
Some sheets show light staining and minor wrinkles. The Babe Ruth card is in relatively good condition overall.
The original paper envelopes have tears and noticeable wear from age. Please refer to the photos for details.
