BAユニットイヤホンの課題となっていた低域も過不足無く全域とも綺麗にならせてくれる。特に超高質の高い引き締まった低音を出して、多すぎず少なすぎず絶妙な量感を感じられる。
ハウジングの通気孔のおかげか、いわゆる耳栓のような感覚があまり無く、開放型のような広い距離感がある。スケール感が大きくてもフワフワ響いて掴みどころの無いイヤホンや、虫眼鏡的に高解像でもまとまりの無いイヤホンなんかはよくあるが、それらとは全く異なるレベルで「全体が見渡せる」感が凄まじい。結論は今まで聞いたことがない分離感がある。
SE846と比べると解析力が別感覚だが、若干暖かい音となっており、音場が圧倒的に広めのため聴き疲れない。装着感もSE846よりずいぶん気持ち良い（外耳道が短い方には最適）
