ストーリー2008年、YOSHIKIとロブ・モンダヴィJr.が「Y by YOSHIKI」プロジェクトをスタートして10年。
カリフォルニア・カベルネ・ソーヴィニョンのアイコンワインを多く産出する銘醸地「ナパ・ヴァレー オークヴィル」のブドウだけから造られた10周年記念特別限定品「Y by YOSHIKI Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Napa Valley」が2018年にリリースされました。
YOSHIKIが最高傑作と呼んだそのワインのクオリティの高さに、次ヴィンテージを待望する声が高まり、それに答えるべくOakvilleアペレーションワインを毎年リリースするプロジェクトが始まり、セカンドヴィンテージとなる2017年Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Napa Valleyが2020年12月、ようやくリリースされる事になりました。味わいこの表現豊かなオークヴィル カベルネ・ソーヴィニョンは、ブルーベリーやダークチェリー、スグリ、タバコのアロマが感じられます。グラスの中で香りが開いてくると、ジュニパー・ベリーやシナモン、クローヴの香りが華やかに立ち上がってきます。
口に含むと、味わいはリッチで、黒い果実としっかりとしたタンニンが溶け合った複雑味を感じます。
後味にはココアやバニラ、カルダモンのフレーバーの余韻が長く続き、グラスに残った最後の一口が、これから続くこのワインのストーリーを予感させてくれます。
今、このワインが持つ溌剌とした若さはとても美しく、また、この後15年、20年と熟成を楽しめるポテンシャルも持ち合わせています。 "
