探求心と情熱を持って、上質なアイテムを製作し続けている「テーラー東洋」から、Early 1950s Style アセテートリバーシブルスカジャン「WHITE EAGLE× LANDSCAPE」(TT15682-162)のご紹介です。
表面はピンク×ブラックで、身頃より袖下の色の方が濃い通称「逆配色」と呼ばれるヴィンテージでもレアな一着です。
白を基調とした色糸で翼を広げる鷲を描写した1950年代初期の作品を再現しており、光沢のあるレーヨン糸の特徴を生かして刺繍の針足で立体感と躍動感を表現しています。
背中の左下には桜が描かれているが、松と桜を組み合わせた鷲柄は珍しいものとなっています。
リバーシブル面は晴天を想わせるブルーのボディに日本の情景が広がるランドスケープ柄。
その中でも「牡丹の花」をモチーフにした作品は非常に珍しく、背景に五重塔とまだ雪の残る富士山をのぞむ、春の美しい風景を描き出しています。
胸のデフォルメされた龍虎は愛らしく、ボディの配色と関連性の無いグリーンのリブも当時のスカジャンらしさを強調しています。
